My 20 year old companies are listed as "Severe Risk" yet Dun and Bradstreet Credibility will not update the information they have on file.

I have tried multiple times to update their information through their website, but get an "update Failure" notification every time.

Dun and Bradstreet Credibility Corp says they have "38" payment experiences on files. From who? We have around 500 vendors and 20 years of doing business. But, our credit rating is based on "38" unknown payment experiences? Not to mention that the financial information they sell on their site for us is from 1999, 2001, and 2002. It is 13 years out of date, but being sold today by these guys.

If you try to give credit references, they call the reference and try to sell them something. If the reference refuses to sign up, your credit reference is denied.

In short, companies pay for D&B Credibility credit reports on subject companies. The information in the credit reports is scattered and incorrect, so the subject company has to go update their own information for D&B Credibility to sell correct information. Then, D&B Credibility hits the subject company up for "credit Builder" packages. They hit credit references for the subject company up for reporting packages. They hit buyers up for credit report packages. They charge all three groups to participate in gathering and updating information D&B Credibility sells. The problem with this system is the subject company HAS to participate or the system delivers incorrect and faulty information at best. D&B Credibility seems to have no responsibility for selling correct information. They want us to pay $1,000 or more per year to correct their information - or they keep selling the out of date and faulty information. That is plain out extortion in my opinion. Multiply that times three for the other "Credit Reporting" Companies. And, if you are not paying each one, one of them will have a continual "update Failure" and say you need to pay the fee. The FTC needs to shut these companies down.

Reason of review: Bad quality.

These people are idiots. I had several of their reps call me over the years AT MY HOME, requesting information about my company.

I patiently explained to each one that I did not own a company and the number they called was a residential landline.

It was like talking to a bag of rocks as each id*ot continued to pester me for details about my company. I had to hang up on each one of them.
