Don't Dispute a Payment Experience
Don't Dispute any Payment Experiences - if you do Dun & Bradstreet will delete all your trade references. We went from a 90 paydex score to 0 in a click of the mouse.
D&B didn't verify with the trade references they deleted them. When we asked to add them back they refused. Why? To make more money while we panic.
$4000 paid to D&B over a 2 year period of time to make sure our credit was where it needed to be and in a click of the mouse it was all gone.
There is no accountability or government oversight of D&B, its extortion plain and simple. That needs change.

Spoke to Clint Fuller and I want to cancel services. He said he can't do anything and had to escalate it.
Told me management probably won't allow me to cancel the account it is automatically renewed for 1 year. He failed to tell me I have to put it in righting to cancel the account. I was only told this when I called back to make sure they cancelled my account. She said no he didn't cancel it and she would transfer me to Brian Jones.
TBD apparently this company is a scam and I was told it was only a 1 year contract....nothing about auto renewal .
My sales rep spends 50% of her time scrubbing the list. Poor information
Incompetent and Incorrect - a parody of alleged business history
Our company was matched with completely incorrect information from another company with debt and UCC filings that operated under a similar business name. Our report was negative and when we tried to correct their completely erroneous reporting they told us it would take a month to have any corrections show up online.
You must stay on top of any issue constantly since they move so slowly and in convoluted ways. Do not ever trust a report you see on Dun & Bradstreet. Chances are they are bogus.
Never pay them a penny. In an era of real-time online information, D&B cannot figure out how to update their website or reports or even add a note to warn others that the information may be misleading or incorrect.

DNB - the fox watching the hen house?
I guess that DNB is just a credit history/reporting database but as an almost entirely reputation based business their practices would be above reproach. However, reviewing a recent business AMEX bill I noticed two DNB charges, one in June, 2017 and another in Sept, 2017 each for about $530.
I called and they said they were automatic annual renewals of credit report 10-packs. The rep on the phone said we've been being billed for these since 2011. He also said the 10-packs are use-it-or-lose in each year and automatically renew ... neither of which were made clear at the time of purchase.
My company rarely does 10 credit checks in one year (we average about 7/year). Apparently, 5 or 6 years ago I did go through the 10 before the year was up and called DNB. They said sure, they could re-up the 10-pack. The problem is, what they did was create a second 10-pack subscription.
So every year since they have been auto-renewing both subscription.
Shame on DNB for not clearly explaining the full deal at time of purchase. Shame on me for not reviewing my cc charges in a careful/timely manner.
- Availability of credit reports on most companies
- Constantly changing website urls
- Tricky subscription service programs

Scam: Misleading with False Information
I received a mailing from D&B explaining that my Delinquency Predictor Score is 551. In the body of the letter it goes on to explain that I need to contact them right away to help impact my score.
Meanwhile, the small footnotes explain that it is a predicted score based on the "likelihood that a company will pay in a severely delinquent manner over the next 12 months, seek legal relief from creditors, or cease operations without paying creditors." This is extremely misleading to business owners who just see that their scores are super low. Instead of *** people off and scare tactics, maybe you should promote a HIGH number and how to obtain it.

Scammers
This company has their salespeople call constantly for service that was cancelled over a year ago. In an attempt to get our business back, they send invoices for services they know good and well we don't want, and then proceed with their payment status calling and emailing campaign.
Marjon Frates is the worse. Once you ask him why they are chasing payment status on an invoice for services never ordered, he shuts down. No response, especially in email where his deception can be documented. they basically hope you will get scared and pay the invoice which is really just a request for you to renew services.
I was stern with one of their reps a few minutes ago and told them to stop the harassment. Some idiot said he would cancel the subscription I never had and hung up in my face.
AWFUL business practices. Sad you people have to work in this scam factory...find a real job!
Inaccurate information and rude customer service
DnB lists the wrong principal of the business (a guy I've never met) and they list inaccurate revenue information - it's not even in the ballpark. I called a few years back to correct, and a rude person on the other end made me feel like it was a lost cause to get it corrected.
Then recently I saw they listed my home address as the retail business location as well as still having the wrong principal.
I am tired of getting junk mail for a guy who never worked for me, let alone served as a principal of my business. I wouldn't trust the accuracy of any of their reports.

They say my company has several D&B numbers
They tell me I have several D&B numbers with 3 different names listed that are connected to me! One is mine and they tell me after hours and hours on the phone with them that they will fix this and then try and sell me on their services.
I tell them I would work with them AFTER they fix this. No way would I pay to give credit to a dummy number. How can they let people get numbers associated with me? I actually got a call from Contractor Connection saying I was being suspended because of a random check on my D&B number and they were looking at the wrong one.
For a company that says they are a credit monitoring system, they do a very poor job. This is a scam. They don't help you unless you pay them thousands of dollars and other companies are looking at these numbers like they are special when in reality, they are rigged.
I just got a letter saying my Delinquency Predictor Score has declined. That is BS, I pay on time all the time.
Scam and Lies
I received a phone call from a D&B representative stating that my credit risk was GREATLY lowered. When asked why, no one would give me info.
I found out there was one reporting agency stating I had not paid on time. I asked who, because all of my accounts are current, so this must be fraudulent. They informed me that in order to "clear up my account", I must purchase their Credit Builder System. I told them I wouldn't and they hung up on me??!!!
I called back to ask how I fix my own account. After screwing around for over 2 hours, I finally got an online account and then nothing was on my "company report". How do I fix what isn't there?? This place reminds me of the credit reporting agencies.
A bunch of scam artists who perpetuate mis information.
I wish I had the time to start a class action suit. This place is a joke and so are the companies that rely on it's reporting.
