Worst experience!

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full
I was contacted by several "reps" about getting a service that protects my business credit. It was a one time charge and I didn't agree to anything further- a year later they more than quadrupled the charge that I didn't authorize calling it a recurring payment. They wont refund it and I am filing a claim against them for fraud. I called D & B and they wouldn't refund anything even though it was an unauthorized charge, I am shocked that a company would do such a thing. It is out of integrity, fraudulent, and damaging . i do not want any further service from them and din't. This "recurring charge" again was not authorized by me and to more than quadruple the amount, even if I did want the service is insane.

Don't Dispute a Payment Experience

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Don't Dispute any Payment Experiences - if you do Dun & Bradstreet will delete all your trade references. We went from a 90 paydex score to 0 in a click of the mouse.

D&B didn't verify with the trade references they deleted them. When we asked to add them back they refused. Why? To make more money while we panic.

$4000 paid to D&B over a 2 year period of time to make sure our credit was where it needed to be and in a click of the mouse it was all gone.

There is no accountability or government oversight of D&B, its extortion plain and simple. That needs change.

Spoke to Clint Fuller and I want to cancel services. He said he can't do anything and had to escalate it.

Told me management probably won't allow me to cancel the account it is automatically renewed for 1 year. He failed to tell me I have to put it in righting to cancel the account. I was only told this when I called back to make sure they cancelled my account. She said no he didn't cancel it and she would transfer me to Brian Jones.

TBD apparently this company is a scam and I was told it was only a 1 year contract....nothing about auto renewal .

My sales rep spends 50% of her time scrubbing the list. Poor information

Incompetent and Incorrect - a parody of alleged business history

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

Our company was matched with completely incorrect information from another company with debt and UCC filings that operated under a similar business name. Our report was negative and when we tried to correct their completely erroneous reporting they told us it would take a month to have any corrections show up online.

You must stay on top of any issue constantly since they move so slowly and in convoluted ways. Do not ever trust a report you see on Dun & Bradstreet. Chances are they are bogus.

Never pay them a penny. In an era of real-time online information, D&B cannot figure out how to update their website or reports or even add a note to warn others that the information may be misleading or incorrect.

I am having the same problem atm with them. They fail my credit check because I have the same date of birth.

Is there we can go to complain or sue them? Very bad customer service! Like machine doesn’t want to correct the mistakes they made! Or they are making too many don’t have to correct all!

Need shut down this doggy business in NZ! Can’t trust their report!

My name and phone number have been placed on the internet without my consent, along side a business that I have nothing to do with. As a result I am being called on my cell phone constantly by people trying to reach this business. I have repeatedly tried to get my name and number removed, months have gone by and my name and number are still on there. I feel like my rights have been violated.

Pay for a good rating

If your business wants a good rating call and pay $10k. They will suppress any bad info, only add good info and raise your rating. Guaranteed, I sold the scam for 5 years. Then other companies will view your great report and give you terms that you don't deserve. Even if your financial statement lowers your rating D&B will not publish it, thus hiding your financial facts from the business public. D&B a total biased source of info. Pay for play. Or don't pay and pay later. Go anywhere else to any other business source for more legit, valid business info. etc etc etc etc etc etc

Unknown recurring charge!!!

I bought one-time business report for a fee with my personal debit card around this time last year. I assumed that my card information would be used for once and be deleted. An year later which was yesterday, my wife called me there is a charge from D&B and made our checking account in negative. So I went to their website and found my personal debit card information still there and another charge on the same service that I've requested exactly an year ago. So I got on the chat with customer service and got an explanation that most of their services are annual basis, and I have to call the different customer service and request the refund. I will find out tomorrow whether they will refund my money or not. However, I still feel very unsettling why they kept my card information and charge me without any prior communication. I didn't get any email or phone call from them.

DNB - the fox watching the hen house?

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I guess that DNB is just a credit history/reporting database but as an almost entirely reputation based business their practices would be above reproach. However, reviewing a recent business AMEX bill I noticed two DNB charges, one in June, 2017 and another in Sept, 2017 each for about $530.

I called and they said they were automatic annual renewals of credit report 10-packs. The rep on the phone said we've been being billed for these since 2011. He also said the 10-packs are use-it-or-lose in each year and automatically renew ... neither of which were made clear at the time of purchase.

My company rarely does 10 credit checks in one year (we average about 7/year). Apparently, 5 or 6 years ago I did go through the 10 before the year was up and called DNB. They said sure, they could re-up the 10-pack. The problem is, what they did was create a second 10-pack subscription.

So every year since they have been auto-renewing both subscription.

Shame on DNB for not clearly explaining the full deal at time of purchase. Shame on me for not reviewing my cc charges in a careful/timely manner.

Scam: Misleading with False Information

stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full stars-rating-full

I received a mailing from D&B explaining that my Delinquency Predictor Score is 551. In the body of the letter it goes on to explain that I need to contact them right away to help impact my score.

Meanwhile, the small footnotes explain that it is a predicted score based on the "likelihood that a company will pay in a severely delinquent manner over the next 12 months, seek legal relief from creditors, or cease operations without paying creditors." This is extremely misleading to business owners who just see that their scores are super low. Instead of *** people off and scare tactics, maybe you should promote a HIGH number and how to obtain it.

Just received my own. As far as I can tell, D&B will penalize all businesses that don't pay fees to them.

Who made them the "regulators" of private business? Why are they even allowed to interfere in legitimate business ratings. From their website: A severely delinquent firm is defined as a business with at least 10% of its dollars 91+ days slow. Yet they have no interaction with my business nor any access to my business financials.

And we have never been slow paying to any of our vendors.

This isn't a scam. It's fraud and should be prosecuted by the DOJ!

I've never had a late payment to anyone in 16 years of being a business owner. I received a 491 score showing "moderate risk" and this less than perfect score is completely bogus.

What does D&B know about my business, nothing that's what! My business is a service and the vendors I use are always paid before 30 days invoicing.

I agree that this threatening letter, stating them as the power owner of my credit reputation feels like a shake-down like the mob. More than a marketing scam, fraud!

Poorly outdated data

We have been in business for 21 years. We pay all of our bills on time and in full each month. But D&B still keeps lowering our delinquency rate. Their data is more than 15 years old. The crazy part is other business pay D&B for such old data. We refuse to pay them and provide our sales/P&L data just so they can charge someone else for this information. After this many years all of our equipment is paid for so no long term loans needed. They have two very old past loans that were paid in full less than $500.00 they show late pay. We sent them those terms and it was all paid on time and completely for more than 15 years ago! But they still leave it up there. Honesty and integrity mean nothing to these hypocrites.

Scammers

This company has their salespeople call constantly for service that was cancelled over a year ago. In an attempt to get our business back, they send invoices for services they know good and well we don't want, and then proceed with their payment status calling and emailing campaign.

Marjon Frates is the worse. Once you ask him why they are chasing payment status on an invoice for services never ordered, he shuts down. No response, especially in email where his deception can be documented. they basically hope you will get scared and pay the invoice which is really just a request for you to renew services.

I was stern with one of their reps a few minutes ago and told them to stop the harassment. Some idiot said he would cancel the subscription I never had and hung up in my face.

AWFUL business practices. Sad you people have to work in this scam factory...find a real job!

Inaccurate information and rude customer service

DnB lists the wrong principal of the business (a guy I've never met) and they list inaccurate revenue information - it's not even in the ballpark. I called a few years back to correct, and a rude person on the other end made me feel like it was a lost cause to get it corrected.

Then recently I saw they listed my home address as the retail business location as well as still having the wrong principal.

I am tired of getting junk mail for a guy who never worked for me, let alone served as a principal of my business. I wouldn't trust the accuracy of any of their reports.

They do not seem to care at all if their information about companies is wrong

They did it to me in the past and charged me to correct it. I see my information is now wrong again . Who monitors this hoax company?

Robert C Lci

I also have wrong information on my Dun & Bradstreet for my business. stating I owe 7,000.00 and late paying 5,000.00.

I have no records of this being owed and they won't give the company's name so I can figure out what this is.. how does someone fix something like this if they don't help when you call. They say download your statements to update account. I haven't gotten anything by email or mail on any monthly bill that states I owe this so I can't even change it on my business account.

BAD business for Dun & Bradstreet to do business like this.

Any company could state that someone owes money to them true or false and the business owner can't even figure out whom they owe on this bad review if they have NO records of even owing it!!! POOR business...

Guest

These fools say our business has a low credit score yet we own our own building, have increasing revenue over our 5 years of being in business, are never late in payments for anything, and keep a small balance on our credit card. We're not rich, but we are reliable.

Guest

Quite disparate info within the same report. Results of crunching numbers using those avilable give wrong results (don't they know how to use the formulas?). Always thought one should take these reports with a pinch of salt, but when I ordered one for my company (which excellent financial situation and payment record allows us to have huge credit limits and extended payment terms) the wrong results they came up were quite alarming!

Guest

Dunn & Bradstreet publishes my company trademarked name with the wrong location and phone number. I’ve tried changing the information with them but they simply resist the incorrect information.

The business hasn’t been at that location with that phone number for 30 years but they keep showing it and selling the information to third parties...

This dilutes my brand and directs new customers to a disconnected phone in the wrong city/location. It has definitely impacted my business and I’m considering legal action...

Guest

The same thing happened to me and I have been receiving credit offers in the mail for someone that never worked for me (also listed as the principle) for the past 3 years. One day I received 4 credit offers to the same principle who does not work here.

I suspect that they created the fictitious principle name in order to get me to pay to get rid of their name. Bunch of ***.

They also incorrectly listed that my company was incorporated 22 years later then it actually was.

I tried to change the incorrect information and all they wanted to do was sell me some service I do not need. I was also called repeatedly over and over, after I said I was not interested, to complete my D&B company profile at a cost.

They say my company has several D&B numbers

They tell me I have several D&B numbers with 3 different names listed that are connected to me! One is mine and they tell me after hours and hours on the phone with them that they will fix this and then try and sell me on their services.

I tell them I would work with them AFTER they fix this. No way would I pay to give credit to a dummy number. How can they let people get numbers associated with me? I actually got a call from Contractor Connection saying I was being suspended because of a random check on my D&B number and they were looking at the wrong one.

For a company that says they are a credit monitoring system, they do a very poor job. This is a scam. They don't help you unless you pay them thousands of dollars and other companies are looking at these numbers like they are special when in reality, they are rigged.

I just got a letter saying my Delinquency Predictor Score has declined. That is BS, I pay on time all the time.

Scam and Lies

I received a phone call from a D&B representative stating that my credit risk was GREATLY lowered. When asked why, no one would give me info.

I found out there was one reporting agency stating I had not paid on time. I asked who, because all of my accounts are current, so this must be fraudulent. They informed me that in order to "clear up my account", I must purchase their Credit Builder System. I told them I wouldn't and they hung up on me??!!!

I called back to ask how I fix my own account. After screwing around for over 2 hours, I finally got an online account and then nothing was on my "company report". How do I fix what isn't there?? This place reminds me of the credit reporting agencies.

A bunch of scam artists who perpetuate mis information.

I wish I had the time to start a class action suit. This place is a joke and so are the companies that rely on it's reporting.
