So my Phone rings, marketing call from AGL Energy. When asked how they got my private business number was advised by Dun & Bradstreet.
Asked what other information they were supplied. Mobile number, home address, email address, age, gender and whether i was a good credit risk. How can a company that advertises on its own website that they hold client information so securely get away with selling it to marketing companies. Submitted a complaint online as the phone number listed is disconnected.
See how long it takes them to get back to me. This is a blatant breach of consumer privacy, breaking the law.
Tried to contact them and had no luck as their complaints department doesn't seem to exist. All you can do is fill out an online form.
